Hello Tuesday! Hello Dorie!
It's another cookie with another crazy name. The verdict is still out on this cookie. I can't decide if I'm a believer. They are chewy yes, and I love malt. But in my opinion not one flavor stands out. It's a mess of chocolate, which to some isn't so bad. However, I'm liking them the longer they sit out. I definitely wouldn't put them in the "eat-right-out-of-the-oven-cookie" category. Mine looked nothing like Dorie's from her cookbook. They were so much more flat.
They are worth a try, so go check out Rachel's blog, Confessions of a Tangerine Tart for the recipe or on page 85 of "Baking from My Home to Yours" by Dorie Greenspan. And don't forget to see how the other TWD bakers' cookies turned out!

Oh my......the melty ice cream sandwiches, killing me! I agree, the cookies do improve with age. I like that in a cookie, it helps hold me back from eating them all at once.
Is that ice cream or cream filling?
Regardless, they look great!
it's ice cream, specifically BYU Creamery's LaVell's Vanilla! :)
Very good cookies Becky! I don't know what they tasted like just out of the oven but a day later they are still DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing!
I am totally drooling! Those cookies and ice cream look amazing!
Love the photos!
Okay, I took a look at these and immediately had to call a friend over so we could drool together. So amazing.
I'm so bummed that I didn't get to try these the other day. They look so yummy.
I definitely have to try these with ice cream! They look fabulous.
Yum! They look amazing stuffed with that tantalizing ice cream.
I like the yummy pics! Good job!
Oooh! Wish I'd tried these with ice cream, they look spectacular!
Becky,
Your Dad and I LOVED these cookies!
You'll just have to make another batch and bring them over, this time with the ice cream and then we can let you know whether or not we like them this way!?!
They were heavenly!!! I can only imagine what they will be like with ice cream in the middle! Hint, hint!
