Red Currants

Some how these...

magically turn into this...

Have to say it takes quite a while to clean and de-stem 3 cups of fresh red currants. But boy was it worth it when that tart came out of the oven. We topped it with fresh whipped cream flavored with Tahitian Vanilla. Yum Yum Yum.

That looks so divine! I want a slice, with a big fat dollup of your whipping cream.

I have really been thinking about planting a currant bush. We had one in the yard when I was a child and I have such fond memories of eating them by the handful.

Thanks for giving me one more reason to visit the nursery!
