Not a ton to say about these easy-to-make drop biscuits. They were just as Dorie promised: cornmealy and not-too-sweet. I enjoyed them, though I think they could have pulled out a little more maple flavor.
We had ours with some local honey and a dang good raspberry jam.
Snag the recipe from Lindsay's blog, A Little Something. And check out the other Tuesdays with Dorie baker's posts to see how their maple-cornmeal drop biscuits turned out.
Next week: Oatmeal Nutmeg Scones

I know. I was actually hoping for a little more maple, too. Still good, though. That raspberry jam sounds fabulous!
I wonder if a little Maple extract would be to much? They were yummy with some berry jam. We will make them again.
they are just the right shade of golden. mmm

Yours look really perfect! I like the crunch of the cornmeal but I'm not sure my husband was such a fan. I liked the maple syrup though!
these look perfect and honey and jam sounds delish!
Cindy was right on the mark - a little maple extract? Some Maple Flavor Bites (these little pellet-y things they sell at King Arthur Flour)? Anyway, we liked them, and yours look great.
Yours look great. I agree, the jam was great. Thanks for baking along with me this week.
